Taxi booking and dispatch

Cabpin Your taxi company, booked online. Under your own name.

For local taxi companies that want online bookings without handing their passengers to an app company. Cabpin gives you a booking page with your name on it, one dispatch console for every booking, and an app for your drivers. We set it up with you, usually in a few days.

Free pilot for our first local companies. After that, you pay per car on the road each month — no commission on fares.

What it does

Your brand, not ours.

Passengers book on a page that carries your company's name, colours and phone number — "Powered by Cabpin" sits quietly at the bottom. They remember you, and the next booking comes back to you.

Behind the page is a dispatch console your team can learn in an afternoon, and a driver app built for night shifts: big buttons, readable in a dark car, a chime that sounds like a roof light coming on.

  1. Passengers book in 30 seconds

From any phone, with no app and no account — straight from a Facebook post, a WhatsApp message or a text. Then they watch the car on a live map, with the driver's name, the plate and one tap to call you.

  2. One queue for every booking

Web bookings, phone calls keyed in by a dispatcher, and API bookings all land in the same list. Offer a trip in one click, or let auto-dispatch choose the car that can reach the pickup soonest by road.

  3. Drivers get the next job

The Cabpin Driver app for Android and iPhone gives a driver 45 seconds to accept, then the route, the pickup and a simple Arrived → On board → End trip — and only ever one driver per trip.

What you get

Five pieces. One company's taxis.

Everything runs in the browser except the driver app. There is nothing to install in the dispatch office and nothing for a passenger to download.

  1. Booking page yourname.cabpin.com

Phone-first and branded with your name. Pickup, drop-off, passengers and car features — wheelchair, minivan, pets, child seat, extra luggage.

  2. Tracking page

A private link for each trip: the car moving on a map, the driver and plate, an arrival time and one tap to call your office.

  3. Dispatch console

The live queue, a fleet map, phone bookings, drivers, vehicles, services, branding, team roles and reports — with a chime and desktop alert for every new booking.

  4. Cabpin Driver

For Android and iPhone. Offers with a 45-second timer, in-app route, no-show after five minutes' wait, hand-back, destination change and the next trip while a passenger is on board.

  5. API and webhooks

A REST API with signed webhooks, for a hotel, a hospital desk or your own website to book directly into your queue.

Built the way a dispatcher thinks

Cabpin was designed around a dispatcher who has done the job for twenty years: "Mike's in Car 17, four minutes out." Every booking goes through the same checks, however it arrived, and nothing slips through quietly.

  • Pickups outside your service area, or trips over 40 km, can be held until dispatch calls to confirm
  • A warning when the car offered is missing something the passenger asked for
  • An email alert when a booking has waited three minutes
  • Several towns under one company, each with its own area
  • Services you choose: taxi, airport run, out-of-town, designated driver, delivery, small moves, battery boost, car door opening

Fares stay on the meter

The passenger pays in the car, the way they always have. The driver records the metered fare and whether it was cash, card or on account, and the reports add it up — including each driver's cash count at the end of a shift.

  • Optional fare estimates, from your city's taxi by-law rates or learned from past trips — always labelled "the meter sets the fare"
  • Reports on fares and payment methods, driver hours and acceptance, service times, cancellations and ratings
  • Everything exports to CSV for your bookkeeper
  • Optional passenger ratings, if you want them

Made for Canadian towns

Trips and passenger details are stored in Montréal. Amounts are in Canadian dollars. Every screen — the passenger's, the driver's and the dispatcher's — is in Canadian English and French.

  • Data stays in Canada, stored in Montréal
  • We never sell passengers' details or use them for advertising
  • Two-step sign-in for every staff account, with team roles
  • Light and dark mode, for the day shift and the night shift

What it costs

A pilot first. Then a price per car.

Pilots are free for our first local taxi companies. After that, you pay a monthly fee for each car on the road — not a cut of every fare.

Setup usually takes a few days. We build your booking page, add your cars and drivers, and train your dispatchers. Tell us how many cars you run and we will quote it.

  1. On the way, not here yet

Bookings scheduled for later, payment inside the app, corporate accounts and text-message reminders. Connections to other dispatch and booking systems are built but need agreements with each vendor first. We will say so here when each one ships.

  2. No passenger app, on purpose

Passengers book on the web because nobody downloads an app to call a local cab once a month. The driver app is the only one there is.

Then picture your name on it.

Try the demo booking page from your phone, or book a demo and we will walk your dispatchers through the console with your service area loaded.
